Aim High!

American history is full of information about African Americans who have changed or made history. You know many of the names: Thurgood Marshall, Sojourner Truth, Martin Luther King, Jr., Barack Obama, Rosa Parks, and many, many more. However, our world is full of ordinary people who change lives every day.

Colin Powell is quoted as saying, "Have a vision. Be demanding." And Leontyne Price said, "Be black, shine, aim high."

Think about people in your life who encourage you to have a vision, to aim high. Who are they? Write about someone who makes you want to do your best
